As a Security Officer Experienced Unarmed Patrol Operations in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will contribute to a welcoming environment for staff and visitors while documenting activities and responding professionally to concerns. Requirements
- Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
- Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff at a government social-services location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, common areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points, observe and report unusual activity, and maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation.
- Assist with maintaining orderly operations by communicating professionally with individuals receiving services, visitors, staff, and public-agency personnel.
