About The Position

As a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Patrol Incident Documentation in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication to staff and visitors. Requirements

  • Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and agency partners by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility interior areas, entrances, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, verifying authorization and directing individuals to appropriate resources or locations.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify supervisors and public emergency services as directed by site protocols.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrol observations, incidents, and security-related concerns.
