About the Role As a Security Officer, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining a secure hospital environment by patrolling assigned areas, responding to incidents, and supporting both safety and patient care. Requirements

Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
A current Massachusetts driver’s license
A minimum of a high school diploma or GED
Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
Recognize, acknowledge, respect, and effectively interact with all people, establish positive relationships, and gain the trust and respect of others.
Ability to deal with and effectively deescalate anxious/stressed people and manage aggression.
Works effectively both independently and in teams.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in criminal justice or related field preferred.
Experience in hospital, security/police, emergency medical or customer services preferred
3-5 years preferred

Responsibilities

Patrol hospital grounds and facilities, with special attention to areas with known security concerns.
Identify and report unsafe conditions or improperly secured property to prevent theft, injury, or damage.
Respond to and investigate complaints, potential criminal activity, and safety incidents.
Assist in restraining patients when necessary and respond to medical emergencies.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate logs.
Dispatch security personnel using integrated security systems.
Support dignitary protection, traffic control, and workplace/domestic safety situations.
Participate voluntarily in departmental committees and initiatives.
