About The Position

As a Security Officer Global Dr. in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possess 1+ years of law enforcement experience OR 2+ years of security-related supervisor/manager experience OR 3+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and vendors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate at a chemical/petrochemical location.
  • Verify identification, credentials, authorizations, and visitor documentation before granting entry; maintain accurate access logs and issue or retrieve visitor badges as directed.
  • Monitor access points, vehicle entry areas, and electronic access-control systems; report unauthorized access attempts, credential concerns, and unusual activity according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including access-control concerns, alarms, and emergency notifications.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
