As a Security Officer - Global Drive in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer, you’ll support a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, controlling site access, and documenting security-related activity. You’ll maintain a visible presence, help deter incidents, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and respond to access concerns with integrity. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possess 1+ years of law enforcement experience OR 2+ years of security supervisor/manager experience OR 3+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor and control access points by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and directing authorized personnel in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, business areas, and perimeter locations to help identify irregular conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Maintain accurate logs, reports, and access-control records while communicating professionally with employees, visitors, contractors, and emergency personnel.
