Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a technology and telecommunications location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, work areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, or policy violations according to site guidelines.
Support a professional environment by assisting with directions, answering routine questions, and completing detailed activity and incident reports before, during, and after patrol activities.
