As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare location, you will help maintain a welcoming, controlled environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access, and supporting visitors, patients, and staff with exceptional service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, patients, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor authorization, and delivery access in accordance with site-specific requirements.
  • Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and incident documentation while communicating access-related concerns to appropriate site contacts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, interior areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
