As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring access points, screening visitors and deliveries, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with team members, and use technology to support daily operations. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • At least one year of security-related experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel entering the facility in accordance with site access procedures.
  • Verify identification, visitor credentials, and delivery documentation; maintain accurate access and screening records as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly reporting concerns to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, loading areas, warehouse operations, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
