As a Security Officer X Ray Inspector in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will use screening procedures and technology to help identify security-related concerns, monitor access points, and support smooth daily operations. This role combines customer service, communication, and attention to detail in a team-focused environment built on agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and staff by following site-specific procedures, screening protocols, and Allied Universal standards at a busy logistics and distribution location.
• Screen individuals, bags, packages, and/or personal items entering or leaving designated areas in accordance with post instructions and security-related procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and document screening activity, irregularities, and/or prohibited items in required logs and reports.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned areas, screening stations, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
