About The Position

The Resort at Papakea is seeking a Part-time Security Officer responsible for ensuring the building is a safe and secure environment at all times. This role involves maintaining a close working relationship with the police and alarm monitoring services, ensuring proper building safety and security measures are followed, and staying informed about local events. The position also requires answering telephones professionally, maintaining an orderly desk, and responding promptly to resident and guest requests.

Requirements

Active Hawaii Guard License required
Two years related experience and/or training
Possess excellent verbal and people skills
The ability to read, write and speak English fluently is required to analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

Responsibilities

Ensuring the building is a safe and secure environment at all times.
Maintains a close working relationship with the police and alarm monitoring services.
Ensures proper building safety and security measures are followed at all times.
Maintains up to date information of events, both current and future, occurring in the city and county.
Answers the telephone in a pleasant and professional manner within three rings.
Maintains a clean, neat and orderly desk at all times.
Responds to all resident and/or guest requests in an expeditious manner.
