About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for patrol coverage at a logistics and distribution location in Knoxville, Tennessee. The role safeguards clients and supports a welcoming environment through patrols, access monitoring, incident response, and customer service. The position pays $15.24 per hour. The posted schedule is Thursday, 10:00 PM–9:00 AM; Saturday, 1:00 PM–10:00 PM; and Sunday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM. Officers can use the Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers by following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of distribution areas, loading docks, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and visitor, employee, and vehicle movement according to site procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns according to established protocols.
Accurately document observations, incidents, and completed patrol activities and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
