As a Security Officer - DoD Clearance Required in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Requirements

  • An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, front desk protocols, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Monitor access at the front desk by verifying identification, registering visitors, issuing temporary credentials, and directing guests according to location policies.
  • Answer phones, greet arriving personnel, and support communication between the lobby, site contacts, and/or responding personnel during routine and critical situations.
  • Observe lobby and reception activity and report unusual behavior, incidents, hazards, and/or policy concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Complete logs, visitor records, and other required documentation related to access control, incidents, and other security-related activities.
