Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct screening activities, and support access control and other security-related operations. You will remain visible, complete routine patrols, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Guided by a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will help support an orderly environment with integrity and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
  • Perform screening activities for people, packages, parcels, and/or other items entering or leaving designated areas in accordance with site protocols and reporting guidelines.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and document irregularities, prohibited items, and/or policy concerns for follow-up by site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with supervisors, local contacts, and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, with attention to shipping, receiving, loading, and other operational areas where working conditions may vary by location.
