About The Position

As a part-time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer at a commercial real estate location in Charlotte, North Carolina, you will help safeguard clients and support a welcoming environment for tenants, visitors, and staff. The role includes routine interior and exterior patrols, maintaining a visible presence, responding to security-related concerns, and providing customer service. Officers follow site-specific procedures and policies, communicate clearly, and work to deter incidents.

Requirements

At least two years of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen.
Licensing requirements depend on state and/or local laws and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and applicable emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of property interiors, exterior areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and property inquiries, and help maintain an orderly environment.
Prepare clear, accurate reports and shift documentation regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.
