We are currently building a candidate pool for potential upcoming Security Officer openings that may become available as business needs evolve. These opportunities may arise on all shifts (1st, 2nd, 3rd; full-time or part-time) at various fixed locations in Schenectady, NY and surrounding areas. When positions do open and candidates are placed, roles offer set schedules, providing consistency and stability. Pay rates range from $17.00–$18.00 per hour, depending on site location. The Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Requirements

Strong communication and customer service skills.
Comfort with basic technology, including CCTV and reporting tools.
Dependable, punctual, and professional.
Ability to stay calm and respond appropriately in emergencies.
No experience necessary!
If you have retail, food service or hospitality industry background you are a great fit for this role; if not, we will provide you with the training and everything you need for a great introduction to a career in the security industry.

Nice To Haves

Previous security experience is a plus, but not required—we’ll train you.

Responsibilities

Conduct regular walking patrols to ensure safety and identify any unusual activity.
Monitor CCTV and other surveillance equipment.
Complete clear and accurate daily activity logs and incident reports.
Interact professionally with residents, visitors, and site staff.
Follow established protocols and contact emergency services when needed.
Actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations.
Preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.
Provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers.
