We are currently building a candidate pool for potential upcoming Security Officer openings that may become available as business needs evolve. These opportunities may arise on all shifts (1st, 2nd, 3rd; full-time or part-time) at various fixed locations in Schenectady, NY and surrounding areas. When positions do open and candidates are placed, roles offer set schedules, providing consistency and stability. Pay rates range from $17.00–$18.00 per hour, depending on site location. The Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Frequently our Security Officers will provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers. Requirements

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Comfort with basic technology, including CCTV and reporting tools.
  • Dependable, punctual, and professional.
  • Ability to stay calm and respond appropriately in emergencies.
  • No experience necessary!
  • If you have retail, food service or hospitality industry background you are a great fit for this role; if not, we will provide you with the training and everything you need for a great introduction to a career in the security industry.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous security experience is a plus, but not required—we’ll train you.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular walking patrols to ensure safety and identify any unusual activity.
  • Monitor CCTV and other surveillance equipment.
  • Complete clear and accurate daily activity logs and incident reports.
  • Interact professionally with residents, visitors, and site staff.
  • Follow established protocols and contact emergency services when needed.
  • Actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations.
  • Preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.
  • Provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers.
