About The Position

As a Security Officer County Hospital in Ventura, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, patients, staff, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed by site procedures.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, directing individuals to appropriate areas while maintaining awareness of restricted locations.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, observations, and interactions with site personnel.
