About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for an assigned government location in Atlanta, Georgia. The position provides a consistent weekly schedule at a designated site, with a six-month commitment to the assigned shift. Employees may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, potentially working up to 40 hours per week and scaling back when needed. The pay rate is $17.50 per hour. The listed schedule is Wednesday and Thursday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet licensing requirements that apply under state and/or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Screen individuals and personal belongings using designated screening equipment and procedures; verify access credentials and direct visitors according to site requirements.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, prohibited items, policy violations, and access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, follow established protocols, and contact emergency responders and/or site representatives as needed.
• Maintain accurate screening logs, incident reports, and required documentation while supporting a professional and orderly entry process.
