As a Security Officer Full Time Credential Services in Newark, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at a residential location, you will welcome residents and visitors, manage access, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will represent Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, and innovative approach while supporting a caring, people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents, visitors, and/or vendors at a residential front desk while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Monitor access to the property by verifying visitor authorization, managing guest check-in processes, and directing guests to appropriate areas.
  • Answer incoming calls, receive deliveries, maintain visitor and incident logs, and communicate relevant information to property staff and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures when appropriate.
  • Maintain a professional front desk presence and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues to the appropriate personnel.
