Sunstates Security is one of the largest and fastest-growing privately held security companies in the U.S., with a national reputation for delivering exceptional services and fostering high-quality work environments since 1998. The company is dedicated to hiring, developing, and retaining a professional workforce through strategic reinvestment in its people, offering a comprehensive benefits package, career advancement pathways, extensive internal training, and employee recognition programs. Sunstates Security is recognized as a 2026 Forbes Dream Employer and a 2026 Training MVP by Training Magazine, and is consistently listed on the Inc. 5000 list for its growth and stability. The company operates on core values of honor, integrity, and trust. The Flex Officer position is vital to the company’s operational and financial success. A flex officer provides trained, competent support by covering shifts that become open due to illness, call-offs, weather, vacation, or other reasons, ensuring continuous and uninterrupted service to customers while supporting the work-life balance of other personnel. Flex officers have different scheduling expectations than those assigned to fixed posts. They are trained at various posts and/or facilities based on operational needs and may work at a specific location for several weeks, though these are not permanent assignments. Schedules, including shifts, days off, and hours per week, vary based on operational needs. Flex officers are assigned or offered shifts as they become available due to staffing requirements, with some shifts scheduled in advance and others requiring short-notice coverage.
