About The Position

Allied Universal is Currently Hiring a Part Time Security Officer for a Hospital in Boston MA. Wednesday and Thursday 11 PM - 7 AM. Starting Pay is $21.23 Per Hour. Paid Orientation / Paid Training. Candidate Must be 21+ Years Old and Must Have 2+ Years of Previous Related Experience. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, assistance requests, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting activity and communicating with appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, entrances, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity in accordance with site policies, offering directions and support to visitors and staff as needed.
  • Support a professional environment by reporting hazards, disturbances, and/or policy violations and following post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
