The Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Frequently our Security Officers will provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers. Requirements

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage paperwork.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and handle difficult situations.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable transportation is required, as public transit schedules may not align with work hours.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior security experience is preferred, but not required.
  • If you have retail, food service or hospitality industry background you are a great fit for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Control access to the warehouse, allowing trailer trucks in and out of the facility.
  • Log transactions of incoming and outgoing vehicles via handwritten paperwork.
  • Ensure that all security protocols are followed during the entry and exit process.
  • Sit in the main office, allowing authorized personnel to enter the building.
  • Monitor CCTV cameras and maintain a secure environment.
  • Maintain a visitor log and ensure all visitors are properly signed in and out.
  • Ensure the security of the premises by following proper access control procedures.
  • Write clear and concise reports on activities and incidents.
  • Communicate with warehouse and office staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Provide excellent customer service to visitors and staff.
  • Actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations.
  • Preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.
  • Provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers.
