About The Position

As a part-time Patrol Unarmed Security Officer at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Petersburg, Virginia, you will help safeguard the client and provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel. You will conduct routine and random patrols, maintain a visible presence, monitor access and visitor activity, respond to incidents and alarms, and document security-related activity. The role follows site-specific procedures, post orders, and escalation protocols.

The position pays $19.00 per hour. The listed schedule is 10:00 PM–6:00 AM on Monday, Thursday, and Sunday. Additional shifts may be viewed and claimed through the company’s platform.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements applicable under state or local laws and regulations; a license may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials according to site procedures, and report suspicious or unauthorized activity.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in accordance with post orders and escalation protocols.
• Accurately document patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities in required reports and logs.
