Security Officer Part Time Traffic Control

About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Traffic Control Security Officer in University City, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to serve and safeguard clients in a higher education setting. The officer monitors and patrols assigned areas, maintains a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assists students, faculty, staff, and visitors professionally. The role emphasizes exceptional customer service and clear communication while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven culture. The posted schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Part-time officers may use the Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts. The pay rate is $19.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the educational location and its perimeter.
Assist students, faculty, staff, and visitors professionally.
Maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents.
