About The Position

Allied Universal is Currently Hiring a Part Time Security Officer for a Pharma Company in Cambridge MA. Saturday and Sunday 7 AM - 3 PM. Starting Pay is $22.05 Per Hour. Paid Orientation and Paid Training. The ideal candidate is comfortable with computers, customer service, alarms, and access control. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing updates with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including interior areas, parking areas, and perimeter points, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when required, and support authorized entry procedures for employees, contractors, and/or guests.
  • Complete routine reports and communicate clearly regarding incidents, maintenance concerns, policy issues, and/or other security-related matters observed during patrols and post assignments.
