About The Position

As a Security Officer - Medical Center - Morning Shift in Fredericksburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Our Healthcare Patrol Officer helps monitor and patrol hospital areas, maintaining a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents while supporting patients, visitors, and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment when required.
  • Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting relevant details to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and general inquiries, and support a professional environment for patients, guests, and personnel.
  • Communicate with staff and emergency responders as needed during medical, behavioral, and/or facility-related events, following post orders and established protocols.
