About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer Patrol Driver in Mount Vernon, Indiana, serving a chemical and petrochemical location. The role involves conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, responding to incidents and alarms, monitoring access points, and providing customer service. A valid driver’s license is required for this driving position. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and the pay rate is $17.64 per hour.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and use problem-solving skills when addressing incidents, alarms, spills, access concerns, and other critical situations while following site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access control points, verify credentials as directed, and report unusual conditions, hazards, or policy violations to site leadership and/or emergency personnel.
Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
