About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Compliance at an assigned food and beverage site in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The role provides a fixed weekly schedule with a six-month commitment, along with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Additional shifts may allow the employee to work up to 40 hours in a week, with the option to scale back. The listed pay rate is $18.50 per hour. The assigned shifts are Saturday and Sunday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

The officer provides customer service while carrying out site security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities. Duties include monitoring access points, verifying credentials and visitor authorization, keeping visitor logs, deterring unauthorized entry, responding to incidents, documenting observations, and conducting patrols. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Applicants should be comfortable using a computer or tablet, including email, online application systems, and video conferencing tools. Employment is conditional on applicable background investigation and drug screening requirements. Licensing may be required under state or local laws; a driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is listed as preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and direct authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
• Monitor access control equipment, report access-related concerns, and follow escalation procedures to help deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, document observations, and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, facility areas, and the perimeter.
