Requirements

  • Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and/or drivers by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
  • Verify credentials, authorize entry in accordance with established procedures, maintain visitor and contractor records, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
  • Monitor access points, gates, and/or entry systems; identify unauthorized access attempts; and promptly report security-related concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific response protocols and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access-control areas, surrounding business locations, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
