Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, vendors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help maintain authorized access to the residential community; verify visitor, vendor, and delivery credentials in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate with appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
  • Maintain accurate visitor logs, access records, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with site policies.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of community access points, common areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and property-related concerns.
