About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer to work at a financial institution in Charlotte, North Carolina. The role combines front-desk customer service with security duties. The officer welcomes employees and visitors, manages building access, monitors alarms and security systems, and helps maintain a secure and welcoming environment. The scheduled shifts are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Pay is $23.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least two years of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing requirements may apply before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, employees, and vendors at the front desk while following security procedures and site-specific policies.
Verify visitor credentials, issue visitor passes, maintain visitor logs, and direct guests according to access-control procedures.
Receive and route incoming calls, provide assistance and directions, and relay relevant information to site personnel.
Monitor lobby activity, access-control systems, alarms, and other assigned security equipment; report unusual activity or concerns to site leadership or Allied Universal management.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, and critical situations according to site-specific procedures.
