About The Position

As a Security Officer - Medical Center - Full Time in Fredericksburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas while assisting with visitor screening, directions, and other security-related support functions aligned with site policies.
  • Support Allied Universal standards by reporting hazards, policy violations, and maintenance concerns, and by following post orders for assigned patrol duties and incident response.
