About The Position

Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, supporting a welcoming and secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. You will manage access credentials, monitor entry points and alarm panels, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service. Use computer or tablet systems to document activity while helping to deter incidents through a professional, visible presence. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access Control/Badge Experience (B201)Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing employee badges.
  • Alarm Panel Experience (B202)Experience with alarm panel systems is required. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of alarm system operations, troubleshooting, and response protocols.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204)Proficiency in using computers or tablets is essential. Candidates must be comfortable navigating software applications and performing basic troubleshooting.
  • Customer Service Experience (B219)A background in customer service is preferred. Candidates should be able to demonstrate effective communication skills and a commitment to providing excellent service.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and help prevent unauthorized entry to food and beverage production, storage, and distribution areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of facility interiors, exteriors, perimeter areas, loading docks, parking areas, and restricted locations. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
  • Assist with protecting product integrity by observing adherence to site entry requirements, reporting irregular conditions, and supporting orderly movement of personnel, visitors, and deliveries.
