About The Position

As a Security Officer Driver Badge Management in River Rouge, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a utilities location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing badge access, and responding to alarms and security-related concerns. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter incidents, provide excellent customer service, and may drive as part of post responsibilities. Requirements

  • Possess EMT certification.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and emergency response activities at an industrial utilities location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and control access to restricted areas in accordance with site policies.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, operational areas, buildings, and the perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
  • Assist with enforcing traffic, parking, and delivery procedures while helping to deter unauthorized access and supporting security-related operations.
