You will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and assist students, staff, and visitors with professional customer service. Requirements

  • At least two years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with access control and badge processing is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, campus-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned academic buildings, residence areas, parking facilities, walkways, and perimeter locations.
  • Observe and report unusual activity, facility concerns, access-control issues, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel while helping to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.
