As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a university location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service to students, staff, and visitors. Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus partners while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, parking locations, grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Complete required patrol logs, incident reports, and other documentation accurately and promptly.
