Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a dynamic utilities location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine driving patrols, and support access activities while staying visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will deliver outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and bring our values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every shift.

Requirements

  • Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a utilities location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through proper channels when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential issues.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor logs, and/or authorized entry requirements in support of site rules and operational protocols.
  • Document observations, incidents, and daily activities with clear, accurate reporting, and communicate relevant updates to supervisors and/or site contacts.
