About The Position

As a Security Officer - Healthcare Site - Morning Shift in Newberry, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Hospital vaccination requirements must be met.
  • Ability to work in and/or around a hospital morgue is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to restrain individuals in a hospital environment is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field is required.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity in accordance with site protocols, providing directions and support to visitors and staff as needed.
  • Support healthcare operations by assisting with de-escalation, responding to calls for service, and following post orders related to restricted areas, after-hours access, and other security-related duties.
