About The Position

Seeking a Security Officer to protect life and property on Baptist Health Floyd premises. This role involves patrolling hospital buildings and grounds to prevent fire, theft, and vandalism, as well as securing and unlocking hospital buildings. The Security Officer will respond to the security needs of hospital personnel, patients, and visitors and participate in performance improvement activities. This is a full-time position with a 40-hour work week, working 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, with a schedule of 2 days on and 2 days off, including working every other weekend.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year minimum experience in security, law enforcement, or IAHSS basic training certificate.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• BLS certification from approved BLS course required (training will be provided).

Responsibilities

• Protects life and property of all persons on Baptist Health Floyd premises.
• Patrols hospital buildings and grounds to prevent fire, theft, and vandalism.
• Secures, unlocks, and protects hospital buildings.
• Responds to security needs of hospital personnel, patients, and visitors.
• Participates in performance improvement activities.
