Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support patients, visitors, and staff through strong customer service and communication while contributing to a caring, agile, and reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity every day.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting activity according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials when required, and assist with visitor, staff, and vendor entry procedures in accordance with healthcare location guidelines.
  • Support staff, patients, and visitors with directions and general assistance while helping to address security-related concerns and escalate issues when appropriate.
