About The Position

As a part-time Security Officer focused on access permissions at a logistics and distribution location in Whitestown, Indiana, you will help safeguard employees, visitors, and operations. You will manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and support a secure environment while providing customer service and maintaining clear communication. The role includes following site-specific security procedures and addressing security concerns with integrity. The scheduled shifts are Wednesday and Thursday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any state or local licensing requirements that apply; licensing may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures and security policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor and control access points by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, issuing authorized access materials, and directing delivery personnel to designated areas.
Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations; escalate information to site contacts or emergency responders as directed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to identify unauthorized activity, facility concerns, and security irregularities.
Maintain accurate logs, reports, and incident documentation in accordance with company and site-specific procedures.
