Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with strong customer service and communication while reflecting our values of being agile, reliable, and innovative through teamwork, care, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through proper channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including entrances, hallways, parking areas, and perimeter points, helping to identify unusual activity and/or potential policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, helping to support authorized entry, directional assistance, and adherence to location protocols.
  • Assist with de-escalation support and routine security-related interactions in a professional manner while working in environments and conditions that may vary by location.
