Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary throughout the location.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and site information, and report unusual conditions or unauthorized access in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, medical-related emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate personnel and first responders as needed.
  • Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations accurately; maintain professional communication with healthcare personnel, patients, and visitors.
