About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Tablet Reporting for an assigned site at a technology and media campus in Chicago, Illinois. The role provides a fixed weekly anchor shift with a six-month commitment, and officers may claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform. Additional shifts can provide flexibility to increase hours, with the opportunity to build up to a full-time schedule of as much as 40 hours per week.

The scheduled shift is Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The pay rate is $23.05 per hour. The position involves providing customer service and carrying out site security procedures, including unarmed patrols, access monitoring, incident documentation, and appropriate emergency response.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a technology and media campus.
• Carry out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and document security-related incidents and observations.
• Maintain professional communication with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership while supporting a welcoming environment.
