About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer Hospital Restraint Response in Hopewell, Virginia. The role serves and safeguards patients, visitors, and staff in a healthcare setting by maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, supporting hospital protocols, and responding professionally to security-related situations. The position requires compassionate customer service, clear communication, and integrity.

The schedule is 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The pay rate is $18.00 per hour. Applicants must meet hospital vaccine requirements, be able to work in a hospital morgue environment, and be able to restrain individuals as needed. Employment is contingent on applicable background and drug screening requirements.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• At least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Meet hospital vaccine requirements.
• Be able to work in a hospital morgue environment.
• Be able to restrain individuals as needed.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required prior to employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, patient or visitor concerns, and critical situations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, and perimeters to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Assist with access control, visitor management, and directions while maintaining a professional presence in public-facing areas.
• Accurately document incidents, observations, and daily activities, and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.
