About The Position

As a full-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location in Savannah, Georgia, you will help safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and vendors. You will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment. The role provides customer service and clear communication while responding to security-related needs and incidents.

Employment is full-time, with scheduled shifts Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The pay rate is $20.01 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years old.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, patient or visitor concerns, and critical situations, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned hospital areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location; report unusual conditions, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Accurately document incidents, observations, and patrol activities in accordance with site-specific requirements.
