About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for a transportation and ship repair location in Boston, Massachusetts. The officer will serve and safeguard clients by monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. The role involves customer service and clear communication with personnel and visitors to support a welcoming environment. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The stated pay rate is $24.00 per hour. Requirements

Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or at least 21 years old for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations.
Have a valid driver’s license if the position involves driving.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and support emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, coordinating with site personnel and emergency services as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of transportation facilities, repair areas, access points, waterfront or dockside perimeters, and surrounding property as assigned.
Monitor access to the location, verify credentials, maintain visitor and vehicle logs, and report unauthorized activity or unusual conditions.
Document incidents, observations, and security-related concerns according to site procedures and Allied Universal requirements.
