About The Position

As a Security Officer in Medical Building Protective Services, you will help safeguard a healthcare medical office in Glen Burnie, Maryland. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas to support a secure and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The role emphasizes visible security presence, customer service, professional communication, and responding to incidents in accordance with site procedures. This is a full-time position scheduled Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The pay rate is $15.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, tenants, and staff while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Monitor access points and activity in assigned areas, and report unusual conditions or incidents according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, contacting appropriate site personnel or emergency responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the building, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards.
Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.
Communicate professionally with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
