About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer for an assigned logistics and distribution site in Richfield, Ohio. The role provides a designated weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform. Hours may vary from week to week, with the opportunity to build up to 40 hours per week. The pay rate is $16.75 per hour. The listed schedule is Saturday, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

The officer provides customer service while carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, monitors access and activity around the site, responds to incidents, and conducts patrols. Work environments and conditions may vary by location.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access-control points, verify authorized entry credentials, and maintain visitor, contractor, and delivery records in accordance with site procedures.
• Observe vehicle and pedestrian traffic at gates, entrances, and loading areas to help deter unauthorized access and report unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, following established problem-solving, escalation, and communication procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, perimeter, access points, parking areas, and loading docks.
