As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol in Summerville, SC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.32 / Hour

How This Role Works:
Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and customers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a financial services location.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points, with attention to access control and unusual activity.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and high-traffic spaces to help to deter unauthorized access, support established post orders, and/or assist with visitor and employee screening procedures.
• Support cash handling, transport arrival and departure observation, opening and closing activities, and other sensitive operations in accordance with site-specific security-related protocols.
