About The Position

Marksman Security is seeking qualified candidates to join their team as dedicated and compassionate security officers. This is a part-time, 1st shift position with a pay rate of $18.50 per hour. The role involves deterring criminal activity, protecting property, and enforcing rules. Responsibilities can include monitoring surveillance cameras, patrolling areas, performing security checks, and providing protection for equipment and workers. Specific roles within the Security Officer position include Rover (patrolling and detecting suspicious behavior), Gatehouse (managing visitor access and greeting), and Front Desk (customer service, access control, and monitoring CCTV). The company offers a $100 Quarterly Perfect Attendance Bonus for officers who work all their scheduled shifts.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age or older
High school degree or equivalent
Professional demeanor and appearance
Basic computer skills
Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Minimum of one year of customer service experience
Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug)
This position will require occasional crawling, crouching, climbing of stairs, kneeling, running, sitting, standing, stooping and walking for extended periods of time

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in security OR customer service fields is preferred
Minimum of one year of security experience is preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

Acknowledge and greet all residents and guests in a prompt and courteous manner
Manage all guest/visitor access as needed and eject trespasser or violators from premises when deemed necessary
Verify credentials of incoming and outgoing individuals/vehicles
Document and maintain a log of visitors and notify residents of visitor’s arrival
Assist in protecting others and equipment while enforcing policies and procedures
Monitor and or detect any suspicious behavior to assist in the prevention of vandalism, theft and or other criminal behavior
Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms
Patrol the perimeter (interior/exterior) to identify potential safety and security risks
Warn violators of infractions e.g., loitering, smoking and or in possession of prohibited items
Respond to calls of distress, alarms and or emergencies such as fire, injuries or presence of unauthorized individuals by contacting local first responders
Identify and report any and all concerns (safety, security breaches, unusual circumstances) in a timely manner
Ensures accuracy and timely submission of required documentation (reports/documents)
Ensure all rules/regulations are being enforced and followed
